We give and receive many gifts this time of year. However, there is one gift we cannot give, one we can only receive. This gift is the greatest gift of all!
But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:15
Adam’s sin separated us from God and God was not ok with that. No matter how many times the Israelites turned their backs on God, He never stopped trying to bring His people back to Him. He wanted them with Him forever. He wants us with Him forever.
So He gave us a gift.
An amazing gift!
The greatest, most precious gift we could ever ask for and the one that we least deserve.
God gave us Jesus.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:16-17
The greatest gift of all is freely given. All you have to do is accept it.
Are you ready to accept this gift of love this Christmas?
