Homemade bagel bites make for a great family movie night treat or after school snack, and each person can fix their bagels just like they want them! Add some apple slices or some carrot sticks for a healthy addition.

You can use full size bagels; however, we prefer the mini ones when turning them into little yummy pizzas. If you have a discount bakery, making your own homemade bagel bites can also be a fairly frugal meal, depending on how far you go on the toppings.

Ingredients:

  • Mini bagels
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • toppings – pepperoni, bacon, veggies, etc.

Directions:

You first need to decide if you want your bagel bites chewy or with a little crunch. If you are in a hurry or simply like your bagel bites on the chewy side, you do not need to pre-bake the bagels.

Slice the mini bagels in half, if needed, and lay them on your baking sheet with the inside facing up. If you are going to pre-bake your bagels, bake them on one side for approximately 5 minutes, then turn over and bake the bottom sides for about 3 minutes. Timing, of course, depends on how much of a crunch you prefer.

A Word of Encouragment

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
