Mimi's Pecan Pie
A yummy Southern classic filled with sweet and nutty goodness.
Cook Time 40 minutes minutes
- 1 cup dark Karo syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 stick butter melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla
Cook syrup and sugar to thread stage.
In separate bowl, beat eggs together well; then add flour and vanilla.
Pour hot syrup mixture over egg mixture, beating well.
Add butter and pecans.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Cook 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then 20-30 minutes at 300 degrees or until middle is set.
